To be able to manufacture knives with a fully ergonomic design so that the harmful repetitive strain injuries on the body are eliminated is of course quite impossible since the variations in hand grip and cutting method vary greatly between each individual workplace and working operation. The solution to this problem lies more in trying to arrive at different wokring moments ao that the different muscles and groups work more variable.

However there are ways of designing the knife handles in such a way so as to increase friction between the hand and the knife handle. By using the different materials available for the handles it is possible to reduce the pressure that is needed to hold the knife firmly. This in its turn leads to an increased flow of blood in the muscles that are in use as well as allowing for easier transport of slag products in the body that in the long term give harmful effects on the muscles.
